Job summary

Communitech in Ottawa, Canada, is seeking a Solutions Architect to apply datacenter and technology expertise to solve complex business challenges. You will collaborate with Account Executives, customers and internal stakeholders to design and integrate custom solutions.

The role requires 6+ years in datacenter architecture, a related degree or equivalent experience, strong pre‑sales and presentation skills, and the ability to deliver designs and documentation that guide implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of datacenter architecture experience.
• Experience in cybersecurity, cloud technologies, virtualization, compute, storage and networking.
• Strong pre-sales and design capabilities with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer relationships with Account Executives and design high-level solutions.
• Define and design technology solutions to meet business objectives.
• Create and deliver customer-facing presentations.
• Ensure goals and project objectives are achieved within budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with partners and customers to transition from design to implementation and support.
• Provide detailed solution design documentation including diagrams and procedures.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Solutions Architect who will use their expertise in computer systems and technology solutions to help solve complex business challenges. In this role, you will work closely with IT professionals, customers, and internal stakeholders to develop and integrate custom solutions, identify areas for improvement within existing systems, and evaluate the impact of new or enhanced technologies on business operations.

Responsibilities

• Work with Account Executives to develop customer relationships and high-level solutions that support the sales process
• Define and design technology solutions that help customers achieve their business objectives
• Create and deliver customer-facing presentations
• Ensure customer goals and project objectives are achieved within budget and on schedule
• Collaborate closely with Account Executives, manufacturer partners, and customers to ensure a seamless transition from design to implementation and support
• Provide detailed solution design documentation, including configuration diagrams and installation procedures
• Produce accurate Bills of Materials and Statements of Work
• Perform other duties as required within the context of the role

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years of Datacenter Architecture experience

Compensation

$110,000-$160,000 base salary plus a commission plan
