Job summary

Caseware is seeking a Solution Author to join our Audit Solutions team in Toronto. The role blends auditing expertise with software design to translate US standards into scalable audit workflows in Caseware cloud solutions.

You will craft audit content, templates, and automation, collaborating with PMs, architects, and developers to deliver high-quality product experiences for North American and global clients. This hybrid, full-time position offers growth in a fintech leader.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
3–6 years of external audit in a public accounting firm.
Strong understanding of audit methodology, risk assessment, internal controls, audit documentation, and engagement execution.
Hands-on experience applying U.S. accounting and auditing standards.
Experience performing financial statement audits for private/public companies.
Excellent written and verbal communication for professional audiences.
Passion for technology and improving audit workflows through software solutions.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly in a fast-paced product environment.
Experience developing or maintaining audit methodologies, templates, or guidance.
Experience with audit technology solutions (Caseware Working Papers, Cloud Audit, or similar).
Experience with SOX/internal control testing and multi-firm audits.
Involvement in training or methodology teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain audit content, methodologies, and workflows.
Translate U.S. auditing standards into practical software solutions.
Develop and maintain audit programs, risk assessments, and engagement templates.
Design worksheets, forms, and automated workflows to improve quality and efficiency.
Create logic-driven content and automation to support compliance.
Participate in solution design and contribute subject matter expertise.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and validate functionality.
Support quality assurance, testing, and user acceptance activities.
Maintain audit content to align with evolving standards and guidance.
Identify opportunities to automate audit workflows using analytics and new tech.
Research changes in auditing standards and industry trends for product enhancements.
Contribute ideas to improve effectiveness, usability, and value of Caseware solutions.
Assist in developing best practices and guidance for Caseware Audit users.
