Solution Architect - IM Planning (Clinical Services)

On behalf of our Digital Health client, Procom is searching for a Solution Architect - IM Planning (Clinical Services) for a contract role.

Job Description

The Solution Architect, IM Planning collaborates with various clinical groups at SMH, Regional Programs, PHSA / Other Health Authority services (including Lab, Pharmacy, etc.) to provide planning services as follows :

  • Work directly with Facilities Clinical Planners and SMH Clinical Planners to engage SMH and FHA enterprise operational leadership. This involves establishing a common understanding of current operational needs and potential benefits of innovations relevant to existing challenges at SMH, as well as those anticipated with the introduction of SMH‑T2 and related initiatives.

Assist the FHA planning team in synthesizing innovation concepts or ideas from other service providers who provided services to concept planning, functional planning, architectural indicative design, and specification costing. Responsibilities may include preparing explanations, drafting executive-level briefing notes, or creating decision records as required.

Most of this work is to be completed by the end of March 2026.

Other Services
  • Under the direction of Executive Director, Capital Facility Projects, IMIT Solutions or designate, finalizes scope, deliverables, communication protocol, responsibilities of the role including how it engages other SME’s / service lines.
  • Provide ad‑hoc subject matter expertise to other related and aligned FHA capital initiatives as requested by the Executive Director, Capital Facility Projects, IM / IT Solutions.
Mandatory Skills
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working on large scale redevelopment projects in the healthcare industry in an IMIT capacity.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience with health care IM capabilities and solutions for large scale integrated information systems and redevelopment projects. Specialty in the areas of surgical services, cardiology, medical imaging and general site operations is preferred.
  • Experience within the Fraser Health Authority environment is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge preparing Capital redevelopment business plans from an IMIT perspective is required.

Understanding of IMIT roles and the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Assignment Length

This is a contract position expected to last until May 27, 2026 with long extensions. This is a variable part time engagement up to a maximum of 380 hours.

Local consultant in BC is preferred, but will consider remote options with PST working hours.
