Job summary

Mindtris is seeking an Application / Solutions Architect to lead the design and development of a Personal Health Number Registry. You will provide solution architecture guidance to staff and consultants, oversee technical design, and ensure the architecture meets business needs.

Responsibilities include leading design reviews, coordinating with Medicare teams and DBAs, and supporting testing and documentation. The role requires 15+ years in IM/IT and immediate availability in Fredericton, NB.

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized university in Computer Science or similar discipline preferred.
• A minimum of fifteen (15) years of demonstrated experience in IM/IT.
• A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Programmer/Systems Analyst.
• A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience as an Application / Solutions Architect.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• The candidate must be available to start work immediately in Fredericton, NB on the date specified.
• Demonstrated experience working with Provincial Health Care and Electronic Health Care applications in a Canadian context.
• Demonstrated experience developing, documenting, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions to meet the business requirements.
• Demonstrated experience with large software systems consisting of web interfaces, batch processes, time-based transactions, long running transactions and multiple integration points.
• Demonstrated experience in architecture where multiple systems and domains must be considered from an enterprise view.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing, designing, and implementing performance improvements for large-scale enterprise applications.
• Demonstrated experience as a .NET developer.
• Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Demonstrated experience as a developer with JAVA, Java Script.

Job Summary

We are seeking an Application / Solutions Architect to lead the design and development of a Personal Health Number Registry, provide solution architecture guidance and direction to staff and consultants, oversee technical design and development methods, advise stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet business needs, maintain solution design documents detailing system configurations, and assist with other project initiatives as required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the project team members including Program Manager, Solution Architect, Project Manager, and Lead Business Analyst on overall direction, scope, and deliverables for the PHN Registry
• Lead and participate in the analysis, design, and implementation of enhancements required for the Medicare or other Application(s)
• Lead and participate in the PHN technical working group
• Lead the design and development for the team including code reviews and design review
• Work with the various stakeholders: Medicare Business Team, Medicare Application Support Team, health Support Team, Health Solutions Strategists, and DBA s to ensure successful implementation
• Ensure that secure application design and coding requirements are met for base implementation
• Support the development of the test plan for User Acceptance Testing
• Support the documentation of functional and technical design specifications
• Support system testing and defect management processes
• Support production stabilization and code fixes
• Other duties as assigned, such as update team documentation as required, participate in team scrums as required, etc.
