Solution Architect
Our client requires an architect for solution architecture, solution specification, logical architecture, solution procurement, system architecture guidance and quality assurance. Responsibilities include enabling reusable system design components and design solution architecture models (procurement / buy / build). Responsibilities include designing detailed technical solutions that meet specific project objectives and ensuring that designs align with the business requirements and technology standards. This requires expertise in evaluating project constraints to find alternatives, alleviate risks, and support process re-design as required. The resource will work closely with development and support teams to guide the implementation and testing of designed solutions. Expected deliverables include solution design documents, technical specifications, architecture traceability documents, deployment plans and technical debt assessments.
Work is onsite at client location in Regina, SK.

Mandatory Requirements
- A degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing enterprise solutions
- A solid understanding of Service Oriented Architecture design principles
- A solid understanding of Database design principles
- A solid understanding of accessibility, usability and user experience design principles
- Experience producing secure, high quality, maintainable designs with a solid understanding of application vulnerabilities and countermeasures as well as application privacy protections
- Experience working closely with development and support teams to guide the implementation of designed solutions
- Ability to work with a team as well as independently to complete deliverables within established time-lines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to function within a high level of activity (working with deadlines on several concurrent initiatives)

- Broad understanding and experience with Microsoft technologies (including Microsoft Purview)
- Broad understanding and experience with OpenText technologies (including Content Management / Content Server and Process Automation / AppWorks)
- Understanding and experience with Genetec Security Center, Power Monitoring Expert (PME), AutoDesk Suite, Intelex, MV-WEB, GIS (Electric Office, Mobile Enterprise Suite), Field Service Management (IFS), SuccessFactors, SAP, AMI (EnergyIP MDMS, Sensus RNI), Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) and web content management (ex. Sitecore) technologies
