Job summary

Unknown company in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Software Test Engineer for an 18-month contract. The role focuses on early UI testing, collaboration with development and QA teams, and documentation creation to support testing and feature development.

The ideal candidate will have strong QA process knowledge, testing instruction writing, and the ability to estimate testing efforts, with solid documentation and communication skills to liaise across QA and Production teams.

Qualifications

• Must have multiple development cycle experience focusing on UI, front-end flows, Player HUD, and Install testing.
• Strong understanding of QA workflows and development phases.
• Experience writing testing instructions or briefs.
• Experience estimating testing efforts.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and develop/refine skills.
• Strong documentation and organization skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with QA and Production teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to provide early testing and document creation.
• Support Core QA team by handling tasks that may keep them from their main responsibilities.
• Provide feedback to QA Leads and development teams on the status of testing.
• Field design questions from Core QA and provide necessary support.
