We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Client's Quality, Warranty, Verification & Validation team. This critical role focuses on driving early defect detection and prevention to elevate the software quality across their automotive platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for coaching teams to adopt and improve best-in-class software engineering practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement strategies for early defect detection and prevention throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Define and refine methods for process improvement to enhance overall software quality and reliability.
  • Conduct rigorous software design reviews to ensure compliance with architectural principles and quality standards.
  • Support Failure Mode Analysis (FMA) efforts to proactively identify and mitigate potential software risks.
  • Participate in engineering and quality reviews to ensure the consistent application of software development best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve software verification and validation processes.
  • Analyze warranty claims, field data, and internal test results to identify systemic quality issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal teams to improve software quality, with a focus on infotainment, connected gateways, and telematics systems.
  • Coach and train engineering teams on software quality best practices, including ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ASPICE compliance.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal software quality processes and standards.
  • Effectively communicate complex software issues and resolutions to both technical teams and executive leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience in the automotive industry, with a strong focus on quality, warranty analysis, or verification & validation.
  • Proven expertise in software defect detection, prevention methodologies, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong background in embedded software development using C / C++, AUTOSAR, or similar technologies.
  • Experience conducting software design reviews and performing Failure Mode Analysis (FMA).
  • Demonstrated experience with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) implementation and assessment.
  • Direct experience working with automotive systems such as infotainment, connected gateways, or telematics.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and training skills with a proven ability to drive technical and cultural improvements.
  • Preferred Qualifications :
  • Knowledge of ASPICE and experience with software process assessments.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, continuous integration (CI / CD), and automated software testing.
  • Understanding of open-source software compliance and cybersecurity best practices.
