Job summary

Parts Town Canada is seeking an engineering leader with 7+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years in leadership. You will guide senior engineers to deliver customer-facing solutions that transform how foodservice operators run their businesses.

You will champion core values, drive performance, and collaborate with product, UX, QA, and infra to maintain technical excellence across Front-End and Back-End domains in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management and team leadership, including building teams and driving performance.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading day-to-day engineering best practices with product, UX, QA, and infra.
• Direct experience leveraging AI tools for AI-assisted coding and product features.
• In-depth knowledge of QA processes and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for pragmatic software design.

Responsibilities

• Lead Front‑End/Back‑End engineering teams and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver customer-facing solutions.

The Job at a Glance

We're looking for an engineering leader with 7+ years of experience in software engineering, including 3+ years in engineering leadership. In this dynamic role you’ll lead our exceptional, senior engineering team and collaborate with business stakeholders to build customer‑facing solutions that transform the way foodservice operators run their businesses.

• Backend: Node.js with TypeScript, PostgreSQL database, deployed on AWS
• Frontend: Vue.js with Vuetify
• Mobile: React Native
• BI Layer: BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, Data Studio

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management and team leadership, including building teams, measuring and managing performance, and implementing processes to drive continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences, including the ability to collaborate effectively around complex topics
• Experience leading day‑to‑day engineering best practices in collaboration with product, UX, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders
• Direct experience leveraging AI tools for both AI‑assisted coding and development of user‑facing functionality, including building agentic solutions into products and business processes
• In‑depth knowledge and experience standing up QA processes and tools
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Passion for pragmatic software design
