Job summary

Lyft in Toronto is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to join our Swift-based codebase, scaling millions of lines of Swift and collaborating with a large mobile team.

You will participate in architecture decisions, write well-tested code, review peers, mentor juniors, and contribute to open source practices while delivering rapid releases in a hybrid in-office setup.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience in iOS.
• Strong Swift knowledge and OO design principles.
• Experience with SwiftUI and declarative UI is a plus.

• Support junior members on the team through mentorship as well as code and technical reviews.

Experience:

• Delivering high-quality code
• Working closely with designers and product managers
• Solid Swift knowledge
• Bonus Points: contributions to open source projects, experience with declarative UI frameworks like SwiftUI, experience with unidirectional and reactive programming
• 4+ years of software engineering industry experience
• Experience with object-oriented programming

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $108,000 - CAD $135,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
