Job summary

Guidewire's ProNavigator team is seeking a product-minded Software Engineer to design, build, and scale our platform with a focus on high-quality code across front-end and back-end services.

You will contribute to performance, reliability, and observability as data and user demand grow, while advancing CI/CD, testing, and code review practices across a collaborative, fast-paced culture.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience building, shipping, and operating SaaS or enterprise web applications in production environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, with experience across modern web stacks.
  • Hands-on experience building and operating platform software using Kubernetes, and cloud-native services, ideally on AWS.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and observability tooling.
  • Deep commitment to software engineering best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and clean, maintainable code.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A continuous-learning mindset and curiosity to evaluate and adopt new tools or technologies when they deliver meaningful value.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Summary

We are growing our engineering team and are looking for an experienced, product‑minded Software Engineer to help build and scale our platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, values clean and reliable systems, and thrives in a fast‑moving, collaborative environment. Our technology stack includes Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, React, and AWS.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, and ship well‑tested, high‑quality code across both front end and back end services.

What You Bring

The Canadian CAD base salary range for this full‑time position is $108,000 - $135,000. Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full‑time positions or part‑time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well‑being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long‑term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
