Job summary

Randstad Canada seeks an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our downtown Vancouver team. You will design and implement solutions for complex banking software integrations and plugins, owning projects end-to-end.

You should have 5+ years as a software developer, strong Java 17+ experience, and solid knowledge of databases (Postgres, MongoDB), testing, and cloud/native technologies like AWS. Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and frontend skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software developer, with 4+ years working with Java 17+.
• Experience with relational (Postgres) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.
• Experience with Unit, Integration, and Performance testing.
• Experience integrating external APIs efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of modern cloud technologies like AWS.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Nice to have: observability tools (Honeycomb, Datadog), startup experience, frontend (React/JavaScript), and bank integrations (SFTP or APIs).

A leading FinTech company is seeking an experienced backend engineer to join their team in downtown Vancouver. This company specializes in providing banks with embedded financial products and services, aiming to revolutionize the corporate banking experience.

Position

We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to join our high-performance team. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to complex problems and taking ownership of projects. You will be joining a team of engineers who are building accounting software integrations and plugins that are changing the definition of corporate banking applications.

Key Responsibilities

• 5+ years of experience as a software developer, with 4+ years working with Java 17 and above.
• 4+ years of experience with databases, including relational (Postgres) and non-relational (MongoDB).
