Job summary

Glasswing Ventures is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to work on innovative product initiatives. You will collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver an exceptional user experience and implement scalable features.

Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of development experience, working with JavaScript, React, and Python. The role offers flexibility in work hours with a range of benefits including healthcare, stock options, and a co-working space in Toronto.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with modern full-stack web development.
• Fluent in one or more backend and frontend technologies with interest in JavaScript, React, and Python.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and CSS frameworks.
• Production experience with SQL and database design using PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar.
• Strong knowledge of service-oriented architectures.
• Strong sense of ownership and focus on long‑term usability and extensibility.

Basetwo provides manufacturing engineers with a low code AI platform that helps them troubleshoot and optimize their production processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Manufacturing engineers can use the Basetwo platform to:

• Improve their understanding of their plant
• Make better decisions in real-time
• Build robust data transformation pipelines
• Ingest and connect siloed databases

The Role

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be working on one or more of our new product initiatives. You will maintain a close working relationship with our product and design teams to bring about the best-in-class experience for our users and then implement them in a modular, scalable manner.

What You'll Do

• Spec and build product features that are beautiful and earn the trust of our customers through predictability and reliability.
• Work at all levels of the stack, from AWS, Python and Postgres to React, HTML and CSS to build and maintain end to end features.
• Participate in regular design meetings
• Build tools to automate processes and increase productivity for your team
• Advocate for best practices to other engineers

What You'll Need

You are excited about working with the latest JS frameworks and always eager to learn and try new things. You take the initiative to propose changes and improvements and can communicate your ideas in the right way. You have a strong bias towards elegant and simple solutions that drive direct value to the users.
