Job summary

Lyft is seeking experienced, product-focused software engineers for the Driver Earnings Team in Toronto. You will lead multi-stream projects to improve drivers’ earnings experience and build pay products drivers care about.

You’ll collaborate with product, data science, analytics, and operations to iterate quickly while delighting passengers and drivers. Hybrid in-office role with 3 days on-site per week.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (advanced degrees preferred)
• Proficiency in SQL with ability to write structured and efficient queries on large data sets
• Experience in Python and/or Golang (preferred but not required)
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

As a Software Engineer for Driver Earnings, you will lead multiple work streams that improve drivers' experience with rideshare. In addition, you will focus on incentivizing drivers to prefer Lyft, building differentiated pay products and features for the thing that drivers care the most about - their earnings. As an engineer on our team, you'll work hand in hand with various teams across Lyft, fostering collaboration and driving innovation to increase the adoption & usage of Lyft.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with product managers, engineers, and operators to build driver earnings related infrastructure and products.
• Design and analyze experiments; communicate results and act on launch decisions
• Work with cross-functional partners in the Driver Experience and Marketplace so earnings related data is available and usable by the various systems that need this data.
• Work on tooling that makes it easier to make changes to driver earnings related configurations.

Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (advanced degrees preferred), or relevant work experience
• Proficiency in SQL - able to write structured and efficient queries on large data sets
• Experience in programming, especially in Python and/or Golang (preferred but not required)
• Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $88,000 - CAD $110,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
