Job summary

Virtual Xcellence Canada Inc. in Mississauga is seeking a Software Engineer who is self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills. The position is permanent full-time with day and evening shifts, offering a wage of 48.08 CAD per hour for a 30-hour work week.

The successful candidate will document user requirements, design, develop and test software, and coordinate with information systems teams to deliver integrated systems. Fluency in English and a college-level credential are required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English language.
• Certificate or diploma from a 1 to 2 year college or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in a related industry.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document user requirements and develop logical and physical specifications.
• Research, evaluate, and synthesize technical information to design, develop, test computer-based systems.
• Create data, process, and network models to optimize architecture and evaluate design performance and reliability.
• Plan, design, and coordinate development, installation, integration, and operation of computer-based systems.
• Assess, troubleshoot, document, upgrade, and develop maintenance procedures for OS, communications, and application software.
• Lead and coordinate teams in developing software and integrated information systems, process control software, and embedded software control systems.
