Key job responsibilities
  • Design and implement large-scale, customer-facing services supporting millions of Ring devices with strict availability and latency requirements
  • Leverage AI-first development practices across the engineering lifecycle — including design, code generation, testing, code review, and debugging
  • Build extensible services and data models that serve as the foundation for Ring's device connectivity and internal service ecosystem
  • Architect fault-tolerant distributed systems using AWS services, ensuring scalability from thousands to millions of concurrent operations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions that enhance customer experience and security
  • Drive technical excellence and establish engineering best practices including monitoring, alerting, and automated testing
  • Contribute to technical decision-making that influences Ring's connected home platform architecture and future product capabilities

  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
  • Experience with AI-first development practices
