We, the Ordering team, are looking for strong software development engineers who can dive deep into abstract problems and design innovative solutions to keep our platform ready for current and future challenges.

SDEs at Amazon work on real-world problems on a global scale, own their systems end to end, and influence the direction of technology that impacts hundreds of millions of customers worldwide. At Amazon an SDE designs flexible and scalable solutions and tackles some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by applying data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles. Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable software solutions for large-scale distributed systems.
• Own end-to-end software delivery, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations support.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive architecture and feature decisions.
• Identify and address performance, reliability, and security considerations across the service lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience programming with at least one programming language.
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
