Overview

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end software design, development, and architecture for complex, multi-language systems Design innovative solutions to challenging technical problems across diverse technology stacks
  • Develop comprehensive unit tests and drive rigorous peer design/code review processes
  • Own technical leadership for complex problem resolution and create detailed technical documentation
  • Partner with requirements team to estimate effort, plan deliverables, and ensure quality outcomes
  • Champion engineering excellence and drive timely project completion
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices
  • Lead effective collaboration across distributed and co-located teams
  • Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tooling, and technical innovation
  • Architect and implement development tools that enhance team productivity and efficiency
  • Consistently deliver robust, scalable software solutions within committed timelines
  • Provide expert-level support through on-call rotation for critical legacy systems
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for products and Technical Lead for strategic projects
  • Guide technical decision-making and establish coding standards across multiple programming languages
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience with increasing technical responsibility
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, College degree, or equivalent professional experience
  • High-level proficiency in Java development, including advanced concepts and scalable patterns
  • Strong expertise in multi-threaded programming, concurrency patterns, and performance optimization
  • Hands-on experience with modern frameworks: Dependency Injection (Spring/Guice), WebSockets, gRPC, and distributed systems
  • Proficient use of debugging and profiling tools (JProfiler, YourKit, IntelliJ debugger, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles, SOLID principles, and software architecture
  • Linux system administration and development experience
  • Proven track record with design patterns, clean code practices, and comprehensive unit testing
Preferred
  • Experience with C/C++ and JavaScript in enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of build systems (Ant, Maven, Gradle) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with database design and data modeling
  • Experience with code review processes, static analysis tools, and quality gates
  • Background in performance tuning, memory management, and system optimization
  • Understanding of network protocols, security principles, and distributed system challenges
