Qualifications

  • One or more years as a Junior Software Developer or equivalent education, training, and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web application features and components using Angular and TypeScript.
  • Participate in design discussions and translate UX/UI wireframes into functional code.
  • Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
  • Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve UI-related bugs reported by QA or customers.
  • Maintain documentation in Confluence and track work in Jira.
  • Provide feedback to the Technical Lead or Project Manager for development schedules.
  • Contribute to the risk management activities of the project team.
  • Implement software design.
  • Design and document project sub-components.

Job Summary

The Intermediate Software Developer is fully competent in software implementation, and typically fulfills the role of Software Developer on a Project Team. The Intermediate Software Developer is expected to complete design and implementation tasks with some supervision on standard projects falling within the individual’s expertise.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain web application features and components using Angular and TypeScript
  • Participate in design discussions and translate UX/UI wireframes into functional code
  • Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to ensure quality
  • Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve UI-related bugs reported by QA or customers
  • Maintain documentation in Confluence and track work in Jira

Preferred Skills And Abilities
  • Frontend: Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs
  • Backend integration: Node.js, PostgreSQL, WebSocket
  • Familiarity with UI/UX collaboration tools (Figma, Storybook)
  • Source control: Git, Bitbucket
  • Development methodology: Agile (two-week sprints, Jira, Confluence)
Preferred Qualifications And Experience
  • Preferably Bachelor of Science (Computing or Engineering), or equivalent education, training, and/or experience.
  • One or more years as a Junior Software Developer or equivalent education, training, and/or experience preferred.

Salary: 95,000 - 110,000 CAD

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
