You will design and implement features for their point-of-sale application while working collaboratively with Product Managers and Designers. Qualifications

  • Advanced programming skills in Swift (and ideally Objective-C).
  • Strong knowledge of multithreading, UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, REST APIs.
  • Experience in writing automated unit and functional tests.

Overview

We’re looking for a Software Developer II (iOS) to join our Lightspeed Hospitality Team in NOAM. You will work on a variety of projects that will have a tremendous impact on the daily life of thousands of customers worldwide and help bring local communities to life. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, other Developers and Support teams to provide tailored and innovative solutions for the market. What you'll be doing
  • Design, document and implement features for our iOS point-of-sale application
  • Participate in development planning, retrospectives and feature demos
  • Proactively identify and remove roadblocks that inhibit the team’s ability to deliver
  • Help decompose high level requirements into development tasks and work items
  • Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of our software development processes and best practices
  • Identify and encourage areas for growth and education for you and your team
  • Participate in finding top talent for your team and the organization
  • Provide technical and process guidance to your team
  • Participate in code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality
What you need to bring
  • Advanced programming skills in Swift (and ideally Objective-C)
  • Strong knowledge of multithreading, UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, REST APIs
  • Experience in writing automated unit and functional tests
  • Good conceptual understanding of software design and code quality
  • Experience with local network communication and external accessories (e.g., payment terminals, printers) is a plus
  • Team player who contributes to discussions and shares opinions
  • Self-motivated and capable of working effectively in a team with minimal supervision
  • Continuous learner who seeks improvement and progress
  • Decisive, not afraid of making mistakes, and eager to share knowledge with peers
