Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Developer for Google Chat iOS in Canada. You will design and build iOS features, test and iterate, and collaborate with Product, UX, and other teams to deliver high-quality user experiences. The role emphasizes mentoring, problem solving, and owning parts of the stack across the full dev lifecycle.

The candidate should have strong Obj-C/Swift experience and a track record of shipping software, with opportunities to grow in a global, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience programming in Objective-C or Swift.
• 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Canada: $150000 - $153000 (CAD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate on Android-stack software projects.
• Implement and test features end-to-end, enhancing the existing infrastructure along the way.
• Leverage DevAI tools to improve daily workflows.
• Prototype and iterate on new ideas, moving fast from concept to products that achieve high end-user satisfaction.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners (e.g., Product Management, UX Design) and other development teams to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
