About the role

Join the Technology and Business Transformation Team, in the Software Developer - Next.js position, where the next generations of software applications are being developed to enable CMHC to achieve its mission. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of innovative software solutions. You will act as a point of contact for all stakeholders in order to ensure business requirements are understood and met, all while supporting continuous improvement through CMHC’s Sitecore system.

What you’ll do:
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements, document business processes, and propose impactful solutions.
  • Design and develop scalable, high-performance Sitecore solutions, working closely with UI/UX teams to deliver intuitive user experiences.
  • Support testing, debugging, and deployment activities to ensure seamless delivery and operational excellence.
  • Integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs to enable dynamic content delivery.
  • Implement SSR (Server-Side Rendering) and SSG (Static Site Generation) strategies to optimize performance and SEO.
  • Build responsive, accessible, and SEO-optimized web applications using Next.js and React.
  • Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
What you should have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in web application development.
  • At least 1 years of hands-on experience with React and Next.js.
  • It would be good to have 1 year of experience with Sitecore JSS and headless CMS implementations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and contributing to complex, high-impact projects.
Technologies you’ll work with:
  • CMS & Search: Sitecore JSS, Headless CMS workflows, Coveo search integration.
  • Back-End & DevOps: Node.js, .NET (C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, Web API), Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git.
It would be great if you also had:
  • A Sitecore Certification.
