Job overview:

We are joining the Carbonite Switchers team, where we develop the industry-leading Carbonite product switchers and TouchDrive control panels. We develop new switcher products every single day while ensuring our products operate reliably, deliver new functionality and continue to transform live productions. Our production switchers can be found transforming the way live video productions are created, driving innovation in all markets where video production is needed.

What the job is all about:

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle – requirements gathering, scoping, design, implementation, documentation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Be a part of a larger team to provide technical leadership, architect, and implement our web applications on our existing and new switcher products.
  • Collaborate with the leadership, UX, Marketing, and Product Management to enable an excellent front-end user experience.
  • Provide design and code reviews for fellow team members promoting high-quality work, sound software methodologies and attention to detail.

Who you are:

  • Experience in working with a team designing and building an enterprise-level, time-critical web application using React.js (Redux-Saga), TypeScript, and WebSockets.
  • Thorough understanding of object-oriented software design, data structures, algorithms and data storage.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS.
  • Understanding of user interface development.
  • Familiarity with Protocol Buffers(Protobuf), WebPack and TCP/IP technologies is an asset.
  • C++ experience is an asset.
  • Embedded software development experience is an asset.
  • 3 years minimum of relevant experience
