Job summary

Kinaxis Inc. in Canada is seeking an Algorithm Developer to design and implement scalable algorithms for supply chain orchestration.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to build and maintain performant software, contribute to testing strategies, and apply modern C++ practices in a cloud-enabled platform. Hybrid work is available for Toronto or Ottawa locations, with remote options across Canada.

Qualifications

• Love of data structures and algorithms and ability to apply them to real-world problems.
• Proficient in writing C++ code with modern standards (C++11/14/17/20) and OO design patterns.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Ability to design and implement high-performance code.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Background in, or understanding of, supply chain management.

What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance, scalable and maintainable algorithms to solve business problems.
• Develop and maintain tools and frameworks to accelerate development and testing.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, ensuring high-quality deliverables through peer reviews and adherence to coding standards.
• Collaborate closely with other developers, product managers and stakeholders to define features enhancements.
• Define test strategies and develop comprehensive test plans.
• Write unit, functional tests, and integration tests plus debugging to ensure robust high-quality software.
• Design, develop, and support automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing using testing frameworks and tools.

Technologies we use

• Development with object-oriented languages such as C++.
• Object Oriented Design patterns and design practices.
• Experience using Agile methodologies such as Scrum
• Use of common tools including MS Visual Studio, VS Code, Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, SonarQube and AI Tools like CoPilot

What we are looking for

• A love of data structures and algorithms, and the desire to apply them in the real world.
