We are a small team of social scientists who undertake strategic and operational research and business analytics to position, inform, and shape how people think about, use, and support Canada’s national parks and national historic sites. Our areas of work include visitor and audience research and analytics, performance measurement, and economic analysis. We are seeking a conservation-oriented (ecological) socioeconomist to join our team to build on a history of applying socio-economics at Parks Canada. Reporting to the Chief Social Scientist, you will :

The successful candidate will apply and adapt economic approaches and / or methods to serve the operational and strategic needs of Parks Canada.

🎓 EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology, statistics or a social science discipline relevant to the responsibilities of the position.
Candidates must have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.
