The Lambton Kent District School Board is seeking Registered Social Workers who identify as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit to support school staff to implement proactive interventions and strategies and build capacity of mental health awareness through education. The Social Workers will work collaboratively with community agencies and partners to ensure seamless and integrated service delivery for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit youth and their families. The Social Worker will serve as a member of our system LKDSB Multi-disciplinary teams and will liaise with school administration and staff. The LKDSB is committed to championing anti-oppressive education and to providing equitable and culturally relevant support to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students. These positions have been created to support that priority. The hiring for these positions will be completed equitably in accordance with the Special Programs provisions of the Ontario Human Rights Code.
