Social Work Teaching Assistant - SW 100 - Winter 2026 (Remote via Zoom)

We are seeking a Social Work Teaching Assistant for the SW 100 course at the University of Regina for the Winter 2026 term. The position is remote via Zoom and will assist the instructor, Margie Brown, with grading and classroom support during the term.

Position Details

• Term: January–April 2026
• Total hours: 120 hours (part‑time)
• Salary: $17.13–$25.41 per hour (CUPE 2419)
• Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:30 p.m.–5:45 p.m. (Zoom)
• Status: Term, part‑time; open from January to April 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Grade assignments and other course materials in a timely manner.
  • Attend Zoom classes and monitor chat and Q&A functions as negotiated with the instructor.
  • Provide support during online sessions including responding to student questions.
  • Assist with course related administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Preference given to a University of Regina graduate student in social work.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with social work practice and APA 7th Edition formatting (publishable paper of < 3 pages recent within 5 years).
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada; position performed in Canada.
