Social Media Coordinator

Are you always thinking about creative ideas for social media content? Do you get excited when you see a brand with an interesting new social strategy? Do you stage perfect ‘in the moment’ photos and reels for Instagram? Do you understand how to create engaging content to interest different audiences? The Social Media Coordinator will be tasked with creating and posting trendy and engaging social media content for our corporate Brick accounts, as well as for our franchise stores. The role is ideal for creative and dynamic team players who possess a strong sense of urgency and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Overall, this role will support The Brick’s social media identity and brand.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on new or improved social media strategies that align with the company’s current business goals.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media and communication trends and develop ways they can be incorporated into our social media strategy.
  • Create social media calendars in accordance with The Brick’s content pillars to increase organic reach, engagement and attracting prospective customers.
  • Write clever captions and scripts for our social channels.
  • Assist in scheduling, planning, executing, and tracking creative campaigns and contests internally and externally across various channels for both corporate and franchise accounts.
  • Assist in building a loyal community, this includes responding to follower and user comments/messages online, as well as utilizing user-generated content where possible.
  • Utilize social listening tools for insight into consumer/audience thoughts and opinions.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating The Brick’s franchise social media program to create tailored content by market while remaining on brand.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Strategist on influencer and brand ambassador campaigns.
  • Assist with in‑house studio and in‑store photo/video shoots either behind the scenes or on camera.
  • Attend internal and external events when necessary to capture promotional material for the social media platforms.
Qualifications
  • Experience creating content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok.
  • Knowledgeable in marketing through social media with the ability to explore new creative strategies and employ the latest digital trends.
  • Proficient with social media management applications for scheduling & reporting (e.g., Sprout, Gain).
  • Ability to set up boosted posts and analyze insights.
  • Excellent command of the English language and exceptional writing skills.
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking, prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Strong working knowledge of Canva, Facebook Creator Studio, Instagram Creator Studio and basic photo editing software.
  • Basic use of Adobe Photoshop and video editing software.
  • Comfortable with occasional on‑camera appearances (IG Stories, Reels, TikTok).
  • Post‑secondary education focused on marketing, communications or relevant experience.
  • Previous proven experience in social media content creation and managing multiple platforms.
  • Experience with graphic design programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Familiarity with retail marketing, bilingualism (English & French), and photography experience considered an asset.
