About Vancouver Region Educational Services:

VRES is a non-profit organization committed to delivering affordable educational resources to the Vancouver Region community and beyond. We run a volunteer success program in collaboration with York Region Educational Services (YRES), recruiting and mentoring Canadian youth during their volunteer journeys. Our program aims to develop practical communication, teamwork, and leadership skills while providing free educational services to the community.

After your application, VRES will match you with a youth advisor to help create a skill development plan (SDP). Based on your SDP, you'll be placed in a volunteer role aligned with your interests and abilities, fostering personal growth. The program also offers a pathway to paid employment, with over 50% of our employees starting as volunteers. You can express interest in employment opportunities during your application.

About this opportunity:

Are you interested in digital marketing? VRES is seeking Social Media Assistants! This role involves creating engaging content and managing our social media platforms to promote educational services in Vancouver and beyond. You'll develop teamwork, leadership, and communication skills, with support including mentorship, training, and workshops. Attendance at training counts towards volunteer hours.

This is a remote, flexible-volunteer opportunity. Qualifications include being in Vancouver, Greater Vancouver Area, Ottawa, Greater Toronto Area, Alberta, or anywhere in Canada, aged 12-30, interested in education, health, environment, or digital services, and familiar with social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
