Job description

Carter Bros. Snow Removal Crew Members are responsible for executing snow and ice management services on residential, commercial, or municipal properties. This includes snow removal, de-icing, client interaction, and general outdoor labor. The role requires proactive response to changing weather conditions, strict adherence to safety protocols, and proper care of all equipment and tools used on site.

We offer a friendly work atmosphere, team-based management style and competitive wages. Starting wage is negotiable and based on experience/skills.

This is a seasonal (on call) position, with the potential for year-round employment.

Duties:

  • Answering call-ins for snow shifts (day prior or day of).
  • Operating snow blowers, shovels, ice melt spreaders, hand tools and other equipment.
  • Perform pre- and post-operation checks on tools and machinery.
  • Assist in routine seasonal maintenance and basic repairs when necessary.
  • Clean, refuel, and store equipment properly after use.
  • Report mechanical issues or damage immediately to supervisors.
  • Ice management.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings, especially when operating machinery/equipment near people, vehicles, or structures.
  • Complete routes and keep accurate records using our management software.

Requirements:

  • Valid class 5 drivers license is OPTIONAL except for equipment operators and drivers.
  • Must be honest, reliable, demonstrate strong work ethic, and be committed to the team.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and handle physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be available for early morning shifts.
  • Adapt work priorities based on snowfall accumulation, temperature changes, and customer requirements.
