The New Nuclear Development team provides estimating, technical expertise, construction leadership, relationship management, and project management support during the early stages of new nuclear projects. These projects include both Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and large‑scale (gigawatt‑class) nuclear facilities.
This role will support a variety of activities, including estimating, technology assessments, constructability reviews, schedule development, contract strategy and development, logistics planning, site planning, and other services typically required by clients during the early phases of nuclear project development. Some assignments may be executed through joint ventures or strategic partnerships with other organizations. Current opportunities are located across North America (Canada and the United States) and Europe.
Aecon’s construction expertise and leadership during the development phase are critical to the successful delivery of new nuclear projects. The New Nuclear Development team advances projects from pre‑conceptual design through the Final Investment Decision (FID) and validation phases. Upon project approval, projects are typically transitioned to execution teams with continued support from New Nuclear Development as required.
Growth within the nuclear sector has created new opportunities to support Aecon’s expanding portfolio of new nuclear development projects.
Aecon fosters belonging within and across our organization. We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and considering all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable local laws.
