Qualifications

• Eligible for registration with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
• Current CPR certification required.
• One year of recent, related sleep study experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for polysomnographic studies and explain procedures.
• Conduct polysomnographic tests using non-invasive techniques.
• Form preliminary reports for physicians after conducting tests.
• Monitor patients during studies and maintain equipment integrity.

Connaissances

Knowledge of polysomnographic theory and practice

Experience with monitoring devices

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to interpret sleep-related tracings

Formation

Diploma in Respiratory Therapy or Electroneurophysiology Technology
