Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage clinical operations and Technologist team.
  • Maintain equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Train the technical team and conduct performance reviews.
  • Conduct MSLT/MWTs and ensure high-quality scoring.
  • Work with the Administrative team for overall efficiency.

We have a great career opportunity for someone looking to join a growing team of health professionals. We are actively recruiting a Sleep Clinic Technical Manager for our Sault Ste. Marie, ON location. This is a full‑time position and requires someone who is working towards their Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certificate or who is already certified.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing the clinical operations and Technologist team by adhering to all technical processes, protocols, regulations, and guidelines. Conducts re‑training as needed.
  • Maintaining equipment and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Scheduling technical staff.
  • Addressing questions from the technical team, physicians and management.
  • Training the technical team, providing regular QA feedback, and conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Conducting MSLT/MWTs, scoring sleep studies and ensuring scoring is completed with high‑quality standards by those assigned to.
  • Maintaining good appearance, organization, documentation, and supplies of the lab.
  • Planning and participating in meetings such as regular technical and QA meetings.
  • Working seamlessly with the Administrative team to ensure overall efficiency.
  • Reports to the Technical Director
  • This role is also available for calls outside regular business hours as needed. Typical examples of this include questions from Technologists working in the evenings.
  • In the rare event that coverage for a night shift cannot be found, it is this role’s responsibility to provide coverage. This however would arise only when no other option exists.
  • This role is five (5) days per week, in lab with some flexibility to work from home.
Qualifications:
  • RPSGT or working towards, with 3+ years of experience in the field.
  • Experience with Alice G3.
  • Experience using an EMR system (Accuro).
  • Experience with pediatric sleep medicine is considered an asset.
  • Experience leading a team of people and managing a sleep clinic.
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills, and ability to work independently.
  • A focus on high‑quality patient care and enthusiasm for learning and sharing knowledge.
