Job summary

A local recruitment firm in Calgary is seeking Skilled Labourers to perform hands-on activities in various environments. Candidates will operate tools, perform light repairs, and maintain a safe work area. A strong work ethic and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are essential. Positions are flexible with various shifts and pay between $18.00-$22.00 per hour. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Operating power tools and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Performing light repairs and basic facility maintenance
  • Supporting contractors and trades on-site
  • Following supervisor instructions to complete daily tasks
  • Maintaining a safe, tidy, and productive work environment
  • Loading and unloading materials and equipment
  • Assisting with setup, cleanup, and general site tasks
  • Adhering to all site-specific safety procedures

Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand and or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull equipment or materials up to 50 pounds
  • Must have work boots – CSA approved steel toes
  • Access to a reliable vehicle or the ability to travel to different areas of Calgary and the surrounding areas
  • Must have a valid SIN (Social Insurance Number) and a Canadian bank account to receive payment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and good dexterity
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • A commitment to safety
  • Able to work independently or as an active team member

Experience:

  • Relevant work experience in warehousing, manufacturing, construction or landscaping, depending on the position
  • Familiarity with using tools and equipment particular to either warehousing, manufacturing, construction or landscaping
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and procedures

Skills:

  • Knowledge of a variety of power tools
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Strong communication and friendly disposition
  • Excellent attention to detail

Base Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour depending on assignment

  • Temporary employees are payrolled weekly via direct deposit.

Work Hours: FLEXIBLE – depending on assignment

  • Morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts available
  • Monday – Friday (occasional weekend shifts available)
  • Up to 40+ hours per week

Part-time opportunities available – 1-3 days per week

Additional Notes:

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
