Job summary

Wales McLelland Construction is hiring a Labourer to support our job sites in Squamish, BC. This role involves assisting the Site Superintendent, handling materials, and helping assemble or break down structures while maintaining safety and quality on site.

Successful candidates will have at least three years of construction experience; concrete experience is a plus. A valid BC driver’s license and flexibility for a varied schedule are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of construction experience.
• Experience with concrete is an asset.
• Flexible schedule, including night shifts.
• Valid BC Driver’s License.

SUMMARY:

This role is a vital part of the team on our job sites. This position performs various duties in the completion of our building projects. Successful candidates will be energetic, dependable, and take pride in producing quality results with a great attitude towards collaboration with team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work under the direction/supervision of the Site Superintendent

• Ensure all safety standards are followed when working on construction job sites

QUALIFICATIONS

• The Labourer must have a minimum of three years of construction experience
• Experience with concrete is an asset
• Ability to work at a variety of locations, with a focus on Squamish, individually or in teams
• MEWP, Telehandler, and Skidsteer Training certifications are desired
• Must be open to performing physical activities (Lifting equipment up to 50 lbs)
• Demonstrated ability to use manual tools and equipment safely
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts
• Valid BC Driver’s License.
