Site Superintendent – Our client is seeking a Site Superintendent to lead a residential construction project in Whitehorse, Yukon. This one-year contract offers the opportunity to take ownership of a full build – from breaking ground to final handover – while working with a respected construction team that values quality, safety, and collaboration.

We’re looking for someone who’s independent, reliable, and highly organized, with a strong focus on timelines, budgets, and craftsmanship.

If you have 5+ years of construction experience, ideally within residential projects, and enjoy the challenge of coordinating trades, maintaining site organization, and delivering exceptional results, this could be the perfect fit.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Site Superintendent oversees daily construction activities to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.

  • Managing and supervising all on‑site construction activities.
  • Coordinating trades, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project schedules.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Conducting daily site meetings and preparing progress reports.
  • Overseeing site inspections and quality control.
  • Resolving site issues promptly and communicating effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.
  • Maintaining accurate site documentation and ensuring a clean, organized worksite.

Education:

  • Red Seal Certification in a related trade is considered an asset.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
  • Clean criminal record check.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent in commercial, institutional, or residential construction.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Skills:

Base Salary: $130,000 – 150,000 per year

Work Hours:

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
