Job summary

Spring Creek is seeking a Site Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day progress of our multi-unit residential construction project and to assist the Construction Manager in ensuring timely completion.

You will manage on-site activities, coordinate schedules, supervise subcontractors and staff, enforce safety, and maintain quality control while collaborating with the Construction Manager on site issues, schedules, and safety matters.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in multi-unit residential construction.
• Preference for candidates with hotel construction experience.
• Strong communication skills, experience monitoring quality control, and strong scheduling abilities.
• Experience in site management and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily construction activities on the work site, and ensure construction schedules are met and safety standards are maintained.
• Create timely and accurate schedules and ensure contractors meet the construction schedule.
• Supervise the activities of contractors on site.
• Order and receive supplies to coincide with the construction schedule; identify and rectify issues and deficiencies as they arise during construction.
• Direct and supervise subordinate staff on site, including Spring Creek labour.
• Ensure a clean work site is maintained and that safety regulations are enforced and complied with.
• Meet regularly with the Construction Manager on issues on site, schedules, and safety.

Job description

The Site Superintendent oversees the progress of construction on a day-to-day basis and assists the Construction Manager to ensure the timely completion of the project.

REQUIREMENTS

The Site Superintendent must have a minimum of 5 years experience in multi-unit residential construction. Preference will be given to candidates with previous hotel construction experience. Strong communication skills, experience monitoring quality control, and strong scheduling abilities are required for this position. Must have experience in site management and supervising staff.

DUTIES

The duties of the Site Superintendent include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee the daily construction activities on the work site, and ensure construction schedules are met and safety standards are maintained.
• Creating timely and accurate schedules and ensuring contractors meet the construction schedule.
• Supervising the activities of contractors on site.
• Ordering and receiving supplies to coincide with the construction schedule. Identifying and rectifying issues and deficiencies as they arise during construction.
• Directing the activities of, and supervising, subordinate staff on site, including Spring Creek labour.
• Ensuring a clean work site is maintained and that safety regulations are enforced and complied with.
• Meeting regularly with the Construction Manager on issues on site, schedules, and safety.
