Job summary

New City Contracting seeks an experienced Site Foreman to oversee on-site activities in Richmond, BC. You will coordinate multiple trades, ensure quality building envelope work, and uphold safety standards across the project site.

You will lead crews, interpret drawings and schedules, and report progress to site management. A strong safety mindset and proven on-site leadership are essential for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Site Foreman
• First Aid Ticket Level 1 or 2 preferred
• Able to run a crew and be handy with tools
• Experience in Building Envelope Maintenance projects is an advantage
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans, and schedules
• Commitment to safety and project quality
• Understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines
• Excellent organizational and execution skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor site work progress and coordinate trades efficiently
• Motivate sub-trades to complete work safely, on time, and to quality
• Report progress, delays, and issues to Site Superintendents
• Troubleshoot on-site problems as they arise
• Maintain good working relationships with team, subcontractors, and regulators

The Site Foreman will play a crucial role in overseeing on-site activities and ensuring seamless coordination between various subcontractors. Key responsibilities include maintaining high-quality standards for building envelope projects, ensuring all work is completed on schedule, and upholding a safe working environment. Your leadership will be essential in driving project success and maintaining the safety and efficiency of our job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the work progress on site by efficiently managing the Coordination of different trades
• Motivating sub-trades, to complete the work safely, on-time and to an acceptable standard of quality
• Reporting to Site Superintendents on site progress, possible delays, and other issues
• Troubleshooting common issues that may arise on site
• Maintaining a good working relationship with the team, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Site Foreman
• First Aid Ticket Level 1 or 2 is preferred
• Must be handy with tools and must know how to run a crew
• Experience in Building Envelop Maintenance Projects is a definite advantage
• Ability to interpret construction documents, including drawings, plans, and schedules
