About the Project

Pape Tunnel Underground Stations (PTUS), a vital segment of the Ontario Line, enhances connectivity, reduces congestion, and supports sustainable growth in Toronto. Webuild, in joint venture, leads this project—constructing 3.2 km of tunnel using advanced technology and two underground stations designed for future capacity, safety, accessibility, and seamless integration with Toronto’s transit network. About the Job

We are hiring a Site Engineer to join our Construction Team (Cosburn Station) on the Pape North Connect project. This position reports to the Construction Manager.

What You Will Be Doing

The Supervisor will be in charge of the crew determining the tasks to be done, and by whom, directing and monitoring how work is performed, dealing directly with workers concerns, enforce procedures established to protect worker health and safety and directing resources to address health and safety concerns.

  • Is responsible to manage the manpower, machinery and equipment to be used for the scheduled works to be perform;
  • Performs the work on site according to the instructions received by the Superintendent;
  • Oversees daily operations according the received provisions;
  • Provides to annotate and record the worked hours for his shift and his team;
  • Draws up the daily site report;
  • Responsible to keep in order the work place and inform his hierarchical superior about the stocks of the materials;
  • Responsible for health and safety;
  • Ensure compliance with the occupational health and safety legislation;
  • Carry out risk assessments, take action and develop action plans;
  • Ensure and verify that the employees have the training, instructions and use the personal protective equipment to be used in the project;
  • Supervise the daily activities to avoid accidents and illness at the workplace and stop work which proves dangerous;
  • Together with the manager responsible ensure that investigation of work-related injuries, accidents and incidents are carried out;
What We Are Looking For?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a range of Support of Excavation (SOE) activities, such as:
  • Diaphragm wall construction
  • Various piling techniques
  • Earthworks
  • Steel reinforcement
  • Formwork
  • Concrete and steel structural works
  • Underground construction methods
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD; additional engineering software is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic construction environment.
  • Knowledge of OHS practices; safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, OSHA) are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with QA / QC procedures.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret technical documentation.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
