Job summary

Echelon Exteriors in Victoria, BC is seeking full-time siding installers to join a close-knit team. You will install various siding materials, perform measurements, follow plans and codes, and work with doors/windows installations. Travel to surrounding communities is expected as needed.

Ideal candidates have construction and tools experience, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation. A supportive team culture offers growth opportunities and a competitive wage.

Responsibilities

• Installing various types of siding materials including vinyl, fiber cement, wood and metal.
• Performing precise measurements and material cuts.
• Following project plans, specifications and building codes.
• Installing doors and windows as per specification.
• Operating and maintaining tools and equipment safely.
• Maintaining a clean, organized work site and tool space.
• Filling out daily progress logs and safety paperwork.
• Setting up scaffolding and caulking/paint touch ups.
• Communicating effectively with team members.

About the Opportunity

We are currently expanding and have an opportunity for full-time siding installers to join our team in Victoria, BC.

As the new Installer, you will work within a tight-knit team of industry professionals.

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Installing various types of siding materials such as weatherproofing, exterior insulation, and exterior siding, including vinyl, fiber cement, wood, and metal.
• Performing precise measurements and material cuts.
• Following project plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Installing doors and windows as per specification.
• Operating and maintaining tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean, organized work site and tool space.
• Filling out daily progress logs, safety and equipment paperwork.
• Setting up scaffolding.
• Caulking and paint touch ups.
• Communicating effectively with team members.
• Representing the company with upmost professionalism.

About You

To qualify for this position, you will need to demonstrate construction and tools experience. In addition, this role requires a valid diver’s license and reliable transportation.

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:

• Knowledge of siding systems, materials, and install methods.
• Experience with door and window installs.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Experience with work-site safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work at heights, such as on ladders or machine lifts.
• Ability to bend and lift materials.
• Ability to enter time into cellphone app.
• Familiarity with a construction environment.
• Willingness and capability to travel to surrounding communities.
