Job summary

The Man of Steel Ltd. is seeking a skilled siding installer to perform exterior siding and ACM panel installations across the Greater Toronto Area. You will measure, cut, and fit materials, ensuring precise alignment around openings and fixtures.

Applicants should have 1–2 years in construction, be proficient with power tools, and able to operate and monitor machinery. This full-time role involves outdoor work at multiple GTA locations and adherence to building codes.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in construction including siding installing and repairing.
• Experience with power tools and equipment.
• Able to operate and monitor machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install siding and exterior panels, including aluminum composite panels.
• Install roof vents, flashing and related components to prevent moisture intrusion.
• Install insulation and vapor barriers before siding.
• Repair and service damaged siding and panels as needed.
• Measure and mark guidelines for installations.
• Cut materials to length and fit around windows and doors.
• Locate studs and joists to ensure correct siding installation.
• Operate light metalworking machines.
• Assist in fabrication of siding and ACM panels.
• Inspect installation quality for conformance to specs and codes.

Job description

Wage: $36.00 per hour (full-time; 40 hours/week)

Location of Work: Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Job Description

• Installation of siding, siding materials, exterior (architectural) panels, including aluminum composite metal (ACM) panels
• Installation of roof vents, flashing and other components to ensure water does not penetrate walls or cause damage to the structure
• Installing insulation and vapor barrier materials on exterior walls prior to installing siding materials
• Repair and service damaged siding, ACM panels, etc. on homes and businesses as needed
• Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
• Cut materials to length and to fit around windows and doors
• Locate and mark studs and joists in walls to ensure the siding is installed correctly
• Operate light metalworking machines
• Assist in the fabrication of siding and ACM panels
• Inspect product quality and installation to ascertain conformance to specifications and building codes
