Job summary

Weir is hiring a Shop Labourer in Lively, ON for an onsite, full-time role. The day shift runs 6:00 AM–3:00 PM Monday–Thursday, with a Friday shift 5:00 AM–1:00 PM. Responsibilities include housekeeping, quality checks, and maintenance reporting to ensure a safe, efficient workspace.

You will join a team focused on reliability and safety, requiring attention to detail, basic English proficiency, and a readiness for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a labour or heavy industrial setting is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English at an advanced level.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized shop environment by sweeping, picking up trash, and putting materials away to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct routine quality checks by verifying cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met throughout the facilities.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to the appropriate personnel to support operational continuity.
  • Daily Role: Perform general labor duties with attention to detail, multitasking effectively, and prioritizing tasks to meet daily operational needs.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
