Are you someone who takes pride in a clean, organized workspace? Do you like staying busy, working with your hands, and being part of a hardworking team? Summit Motors is looking for a Shop Assistant to help keep our heavy-duty truck shop running smoothly and safely.

This is a hands-on, fast‑paced role that plays a critical part in supporting our technicians and maintaining a professional, efficient shop environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Emptying all garbage containers daily
  • Collecting a properly disposing of recyclables
  • Maintaining a clean, organized wash bay – including hoses and floors
  • Returning jack stands and large tools neatly to the tool room and oiling air tools
  • Keeping the outside of the building clean and professional
  • Assisting senior technicians when required – this is a team‑first environment
  • Picking up and returning cores to Parts after checking with technicians
  • Sweeping and washing shop floors
  • Keeping the bond yard, press area, and oil tank area clean
  • Draining oil filters and placing them in the proper barrels
  • Maintaining the shop truck
  • Snow removal around walk‑in and overhead doors each morning in winter
