Job summary

A leading shipbuilding company in Halifax is seeking a Planner to create detailed schedules and connect scope, budget, and technical details seamlessly. Candidates should have a post-secondary degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in naval shipbuilding. This is a full-time position requiring in-office work. Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree; preferably in technical, engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of planning or trade work experience, preferably in a naval shipbuilding or repair environment.
  • Trade Certificate, Red Seal in related areas considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize contract documentation and drawings to understand work scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Create quality job packs for efficient execution of work by Production.
  • Ensure accurate activity breakdown, sequence logic, and trade resource budgets in P6.

Planning or trade work experience
Interpretation of trade related drawings
Experience using Primavera P6

Experience using Aveva
Experience using AutoCAD
Knowledge of naval repair methods
