Job summary

A leading shipbuilding company in Halifax is seeking an Engineer/Technologist to provide technical oversight on Royal Canadian Navy vessels. Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year shipbuilding/ship design experience.
• Ability to engage with Production and Planning counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Review subcontractor calculations, models, and specifications.
• Develop solutions for technical issues during construction.

Skills

Engineering or Technologist degree

Shipbuilding / ship design experience or related heavy manufacturing experience

Applied experience with hull structure and/or steel outfitting

Understanding of Shipbuilding production and planning

Ability to navigate shipbuilding production drawings

Experience with AutoCAD

Stakeholder management skills

Comfortable in dynamic environments

Education

Engineering or Technologist degree
