Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting is assisting our friends in the furniture business with finding a top‑notch, hands‑on WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Reports To : President

Supervises : Senior Delivery Installers and Helpers (2‑4 staff)

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m. (very occasional OT / weekends as needed)

Job Available due to retirement

We’re looking for a hands‑on Warehouse Manager who leads by example, inspires teamwork, and takes pride in delivering exceptional results. You’ll oversee all warehouse operations—from inventory management and logistics to the installation and repair of premium office furniture and systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead a strong, experienced warehouse team, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, delivery, installation, and repair of office furniture and systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager, President, Sales Team, and Customer Service to ensure seamless coordination from order to delivery.
  • Drive improvements in inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
  • Manage delivery schedules, optimize routes, and ensure timely, professional service.
  • Ensure all items are handled with exceptional care and attention to detail during transport and installation.
  • Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance programs and maintain accurate service logs.
  • Lead by example—assist with deliveries, installations, and hands‑on warehouse duties when needed.
  • Support showroom staging and other operational initiatives as required.
What You Bring
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a warehouse team, preferably in the office furniture or related industry. (car dealership, parts, supply)
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items safely; forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s license (or higher) and a clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
  • Clean Criminal Record check
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
