Job summary

Dick's Lumber is seeking Shipping Support for our Doorplant at the Port Kells location in Surrey, BC. This role involves handling, packaging, shipment prep, and operating a forklift within a busy warehouse environment.

Ideal candidates should have forklift or narrow aisle reach certification/experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift over 50 lbs. English fluency is required, with basic computer skills encouraged.

Qualifications

• Forklift or Narrow Aisle Reach certification/experience is an asset.
• Ability to lift over 50lbs.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, demanding, noisy environment.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Professional, courteous and punctual with a focus on order accuracy and customer service.
• Some computer skills would be helpful.
• Experience in this or related industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assists with material handling, packaging, and shipment preparation as required.
• Loads and unloads trucks by hand and or by using a pallet jack or forklift.
• Operates a forklift to move products inside and outside the warehouse
• Bands various skids and packages to ensure secure storage and transportation.
• Shrink wraps skids and products both manually and using shrink-wrap machine.
• Pulls and prepares orders checking tallies for accuracy.
• Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse as required.
• Adheres to company safe working procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.
