Job summary

SAPUTO INC. in Canada is seeking a Shipper to handle shipping, receiving and warehouse support. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will perform order picking, load coordination and ensure accurate documentation.

This role requires attention to temperature-controlled environments, teamwork and the ability to maintain safety and GMP standards. The successful candidate will contribute to efficient operations and meet customer requirements for accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

  • Experience in food processing, packaging and distribution is an asset.
  • Familiar with reading/applying product quantity conversions to shipping documents.
  • Problem solver and ability to prioritize operational activities to meet efficiency/CS requirements.
  • Works well in a team environment and can multi-task in a dynamic setting.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all activities pertaining to Shipping and Receiving.
  • Accountable for daily sanitation and housekeeping in designated area.
  • Pick orders in a cold environment (-18 C to 5 C).
  • Verify products and rotate inventory.
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure GMP/Quality compliance.
  • Meet customer requirements (pick sheets, loading patterns, codes, freshness).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Shipper position will be responsible for the picking, shipping and receiving in the Warehouse. Load co-ordination, report reproduction and report maintenance are also part of the regular duties.

Job Duties
  • Perform all activities pertaining to Shipping, Receiving
  • Accountable for daily sanitation and housekeeping in designated work area.
  • Picking orders in a cold environment -18 C to 5 C
  • Product verification
  • Product rotation
  • Inventory counts (monthly)
  • Loading/unloading of trucks
  • Manual documentation
  • Ensure all legislated and company documentation related to the work area is accurately performed within the time requirements; ensure the product meets all specifications regarding GMP, Quality Programs.
  • Ensure to meet customer requirements “Pick sheet, loading pattern, code dates, freshness guidelines etc.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications And Skills
  • Working knowledge in a food processing, packaging & distribution environment an asset
  • Familiar with reading / applying product quantity conversions (when necessary) to customer order shipping documents
  • Problem solver and have ability to prioritize all operational activities to meet efficiency & C/S requirements
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Must be a person who can multi-task and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
  • Can easily assume additional responsibility as required; quick at assessing the facts and making a sound decision
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
