Job summary

Sport Chek in the Vancouver area is hiring a Shipper/Receiver who helps ensure inventory is received and distributed accurately, loads and unloads deliveries, and maintains shipping logs. The role focuses on accurate stock movement and delivering a positive customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

You should be physically capable, comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs, and able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Passion for active, healthy living and sports.
• Previous retail inventory control or warehouse experience is an asset.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy containers (up to 50lbs).
• Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check (Must be 18 or older to complete a background check).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Computer literacy is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks.

• Sort shipments and distribute product accordingly.
• Transfer stock to other stores as requested.

• Deliver exceptional customer experience to support your team in achieving performance targets.

Job Description

As a Shipper/Receiver, your primary responsibility is to ensure that inventory is efficiently and accurately received at, or transferred from the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor all un-received cartons and transfers and place the necessary claims with the FGL Claims Department
• Sort shipments and distribute product accordingly

Our typical hiring range is between $17.95 and $20.00 per hour. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
