Responsibilities

• File and maintain shipping records, including returns.
• Data entry to business systems as required.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Shipper Receiver is responsible for packing and shipping parts and materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepares records of shipments and bills of lading for ground and air shipments in accordance with company policy.
• Posts shipments to customer orders.
• Upon completion of shipment, show order as shipped and forward documents to the accounting department.
• Maintains other shipping records such as goods returned.
• Weighs and labels shipments and moves material with a hand truck.
• Forwards packing lists as needed and files copies.
• Data entry to business system such as posting individual part weight.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Two years experience as a shipping clerk.

Skills: Must be able to know how to use UPS Worldship or similar carrier-based shipping software.Must be familiar with Microsoft Office software programs. Forklift certification or significant forklift operating experience preferred. Skilled in working with wood, including carpentry experience.

Requirements: Must work in a safe manner and must have a safe work record. Safety must be the first and foremost concern as these machines are capable of great bodily harm.
