Job summary

Giant Tiger in Johnstown, ON is hiring a permanent, full‑time Shipper (Evenings) to operate forklifts, verify pallets, and load shipments in a fast‑paced, safety‑conscious distribution centre.

You will maintain daily productivity counts, support other departments, and uphold OSHA/WHMIS standards while working Sunday to Thursday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Competitive hourly pay plus benefits awaits permanent teammates.

Qualifications

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely in a busy warehouse environment.
• Maintain accuracy in pallet wrapping, labeling and location tracking.
• Follow safety rules and use OSH A and WHMIS standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklifts and low lift pallet jacks through high trafficked areas with a focus on safe and efficient operation
• Verify and organize wrapped pallets
• Prepare and lane wrapped pallets, ensuring they in the correct pallet location
• Load wrapped pallets onto trucks with care and precision
• Maintain a daily productivity count
• Support other departments when necessary, as directed by the supervisor

What You’ll Be Doing

What You’ll Bring

• Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards
• Capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting heavy objects throughout shift
• Comfortable in a noisy, fast‑paced environment and operating forklift in confined areas
• Punctual, self‑motivated, attention to detail and spatially aware of surroundings
• Basic math and PC skills

Assets You May Have

Completion of High School; Experience in a warehouse environment Experience with a Warehouse Management System Experience operating a forklift or similar machine Positive attitude Class G2 or higher driver’s license
